Benny on a Jet

Last week Bennett went on his very first plane ride...

Going into it I was VERY nervous....you always hear horror stories about babies on planes...

but as usual Lil' B surprised us all! He was an absolute dream on the plane (he even received several compliments from other passengers and flight attendants) and not only did he rock his first plane ride, but he was PERFECT all vacation.

Prior to going on vacation we had had a rough couple of weeks in the sleep department and I was worried that vacation and a lack of schedule/routine would throw him completely off...but it actually did the opposite. He slept great the whole time we were gone and has been sleeping really well since we got home....looks like we should go on vacation more often ;)

Our trip to Ohio was an unexpected one, due to my grandpa dealing with some health issues that not only kept him from traveling, but kept him from being able to get out of bed. It had been almost 10 years since I had been to Ohio, and while the circumstances weren't the best I am SO glad we made the trip.

We got to spend lots of time with my aunt and uncle...and Benny LOVED spending time with his cousins!

And best of all Benny finally got to meet his Great Grandpa John...

It's been a running joke in our family that all the babies are afraid of Grandpa John until they hit a certain age...but that was not the case with Benny. He and Great Grandpa became fast friends and spent much of their time growling at one another and chatting up a storm.

Our trip to Ohio was filled with so many great memories....from shopping, and almost getting kicked out of Louis Vuitton (I don't belong in those types of stores...clearly) to pizza and game nights filled with laughs on laughs on laughs...and most of all seeing my grandpa meet my son and his first great-grandson for the first time <3

I think it is safe to say we were all a little disappointed to see this trip end!

I will be forever grateful for this time spent with family...and Benny and I are already counting down the days until we can go back :)
